Frequently Asked Questions

Tour fees

Discounts MAY be available for certain tours for group bookings of 4+ persons and for multi-day tours (please enquire). Day tours might or might not include other clients on the same dates of your tour. For one day tours, you pay for your fees at the time of booking. Discounts may apply for multi-day tours when paying in full, please enquire. Please enquire for children fees. See cancellations policy below.

Cancellation policy

For multi-day tours, the initial 50% NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT is required to secure the participation of the applicant for necessary hotel reservations and to allow us to reject other tour requests. For full payment reservations and a subsequent cancellation request, 75% of the fee will be refunded provided the request is received by Aviantours at least 30 days prior to the commencement of any tour together with a valid reason (and proof of such) submitted by writing / email, but the best solution is to allow us to accommodate your tour at a later date at no additional cost. Pre-booked one-day tours are non-refundable, but you may use monies as a  ‘voucher’ for a subsequent tour on a date of your choice subject to availability with no added costs, so long as availability and dates is confirmed by us which should not be a problem.  The voucher may be transferable.

Accomodation & meals

Will be at comfortable hotels and depending of the season and locations.  Details of the hotel will be sent to the participants at least a month before the tour commences. Day tours do not include any meals.  Meals may be provided for multi-day tours but generally include breakfast only, and does not include a a la carte menus, dinner or alcohol giving you flexibility to choose your favourite meals / restaurants.

Settling payments

BANK TRANSFER (transfer fees payable by client), Revolut or PAYPAL (very small Paypal transaction surcharge may apply). Payment of any remaining balance will be agreed between client and Aviantours. Failure to complete full payment and/or any bank transfer charges may result in the tour not going ahead. Please be sure to make your payment AFTER availability has been confirmed by us. Passports scans / copies may be required to avoid fraud, phishing or suspicious behaviour.. Important

Arrival & departures from Gibraltar International airport, unless otherwise stated for any tour.  Airport pickup / dropoff will be Gibraltar international airport included in multi-day fees. Days tours include hotel pickup / dropoff only.  
Pickup / drop-off may require arrival / departure at alternative airports in some tours. There may or may not be a small surcharge if you prefer to arrive at a different airport to the one described on a respective tour which will be agreed before any fees are paid. Please enquire with us before booking any flights to ensure best arrival / departure times to fit the itinerary and in order to maximise your birding / nature experience with us on those days. It is advised to book a morning incoming flight and an late afternoon outbound flight when flying back to your destination, in order to make use of at least half a day on the last day of the tour.  You can book extra nights if you would like an extended private tour. (Please confirm beforehand) 

Travel / health Insurance

All participants have to purchase their own personal health & property insurance and provide proof of such before starting the tour.
